If you want to keep your child busy this summer, and you are looking for opportunities for them to get involved, gymnastics camp might be a perfect fit. If you’re interested in enrolling your child in gymnastics camps, Gold Medal Gyms has a few tips on what to pack.
Practice Clothes
There will be long days during gymnastics camp, which means you’re going to need to have practice clothes available. Whether it’s leotard or regular workout clothes, you’ll need plenty of them. If you’re not sure what types of clothes to bring, ask your coach or see if there is a packing list available to follow.

Sunscreen
Depending on the camp, there are days you may be outside the entire day. Bringing a bottle of sunscreen is a good idea, so you won’t get burned. While you may not use it, it’s good to have it available just in case.
Water Bottle
Staying hydrated is essential in any sport, as it keeps your body running and cooled off during warm summer days. You should be drinking at least 4-5 water bottles worth of water per day to continue to stay hydrated. While your camp may supply a water cooler, pack a water bottle just in case. You’ll be surprised how much water you’ll go through.
Skill Set
While your coaches won’t expect you to be perfect at the sport, you’ll want to bring your A-game to thrive in gymnastics camp. Any knowledge you have about the sport will be useful, from communication to technique.

Winning Attitude
Finally, being in the mood to compete and learn new moves will also help you thrive at gymnastics camp. Having the right attitude can go a long way, making it easier to achieve the goals you’ve set for yourself this week. Even if you’re hot or exhausted, staying positive throughout the week will help you stand out to your coaches.
